Beyond the Basics (Intermediate Class)

Ready to move beyond the basics? In the first half of this session, you’ll begin taking advantage of unique iPad features, such as iCloud, Find My iPad, cloud storage, Apple TV, air print, iTunes set-up and guided access. We’ll also explore some essential apps you could be using.

Branching Out to New Projects (Intermediate)

Move into the intermediate level of student iPad projects. We’ll share sample projects that “stack” apps to meet various project needs, and then walk you through the process of integrating iPads into a project for next year. Bring your own idea for a project, or create a new one during the session.

Creative Communication Using Blogger, Calendar, Groups, & Moderator

Use Blogger to create daily warm-ups and classroom instructions. Create blogs for student reflection. Make calendars for your classroom, department, school, and/or district. Use calendar for student agenda books. Survey student learning with Google Moderator.

Bundling PLC on My Big Campus

Come prepared to have fun creating lessons that address the four critical PLC questions. Into MBC “Bundles,” you’ll drag and drop videos, web pages, documents, assignments, assessments, and more. You can attach Common Core standards, then share with your students, parents, administrator, school, district or entire MBC educator community. You can even search for other educators’ bundles by standard, subject, or type and create a copy to adapt for your own purposes.

Meeting Common Core Technology Standards with My Big Campus

We’ll first take an interactive tour of My Big Campus as students to explore how you can meet the Common Core requirements involving technology which include standards for online collaboration and publishing. Then we’ll get our teacher hands on the site and take some of the easiest steps to get started--online assignments, discussions, and blogs.
